Meet Tracy Sheehan Ross. I am an ACE Certified Personal Trainer beginning in 2011. I received my bachelor's degree from Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia. As a busy wife and mother of two, I know how important one's personal health is to the enjoyment of life, and that fitness is a life-long pursuit. Getting fit—and staying fit—can be gratifying and something to look forward to everyday! It is my job to help each person to understand and discover the importance of, and enjoyment in, getting fit and staying healthy.

Why you need a personal trainer. If you are a sedentary person who has decided that a physical transformation is desired or is necessary, if you are recovering from an injury, or even if you are a healthy person who wants to take their fitness to the next level, a personal trainer can make all the difference in attaining your goals by providing an objective evaluation, challenging and motivating you, providing sound advice and education, and making your fitness goals their own. I believe that to get to where you want to be, you must understand from where it is that you are starting, and that positive results only come with the commitment to a sustained effort.

My personal training philosophy. I have always been interested in staying healthy. After having two children and turning 40, I made getting healthy and fit my priority. I educated myself and learned the basics for eating well and training effectively. Along the way I discovered a true passion for the health and fitness industry which developed into my becoming an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, so that I may help others with their own journeys. My multifaceted approach to fitness includes a full-assessment of each individual's current state of being and their goals. With this in mind, I will work together with the client and craft a custom plan to best meet his personal fitness goals. Safety, balance, flexibility, cardiovascular training, strength training, weight management, and a sound diet are my building blocks for fitness.

What is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, and why is that important? Founded in 1985, the American Council on Exercise® (ACE ®) is a nonprofit organization committed to America’s health and well being. Over the past 25 years, ACE has become an established resource for both fitness professionals and consumers, providing comprehensive, unbiased, scientific research impacting the fitness industry and validating themselves as the country’s trusted authority on fitness. Today, ACE is the largest nonprofit fitness certification, education and training organization in the world with nearly 50,000 certified professionals who hold more than 55,000 ACE certifications. With a long heritage in certification, education, training and public outreach, ACE is among the most respected fitness organizations in the industry and a resource consumers have come to trust for health and fitness education.
